The 2022 GARC Economic Development Conference will be held at Lake Lanier Islands Resort in Buford, Georgia (www.lanierislands.com) on May 1-3, 2022. Feel free to distribute this information to Policy Members, Regional Commission staff, and others who may have an interest in attending.
This year’s conference includes a list of notable speakers, conference sessions and events. We are pleased to offer an agenda that includes a variety of speakers, providing new information in the areas of Workforce Development, Housing, and updates from our state and federal partners. A complete conference agenda will be available soon on the GARC website at: www.garc.ga.gov.
Registration – $300.00 per person – The registration fee is $300.00 for attendees. Registration includes all workshops and meals. Please complete the attached registration form and return to: Kim Stanton, 175 Emery Hwy STE C, Macon, Ga 31217. Make checks payable to Georgia Association of Regional Commissions (GARC). Any cancellations for conference registration must be received by April 18, 2022.
Spouse/Guest – $200.00 per person – The spouse/guest rate for any guest accompanying any registered attendee is $200.00 and includes workshops and meals.
Rooms – $165.00 per night – A block of hotel rooms (Reference GARC Economic Development Conference) is reserved at Lake Lanier Islands Resort with a GARC Conference rate of $165.00 plus a $20.00 resort fee and applicable taxes (13%). Room reservations can be made by contacting Lake Lanier Islands Resort directly at 1-800-840-5253, the online link here, or by emailing reservations@lanierislands.com before April 1, 2022. Hotel cancellations must be made prior to April 18, 2022 to avoid any fees.
